Who your contracting party is
The most important point first
Purchases and subscriptions inside MultiVolt are handled exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The contract is concluded with the respective platform operator. Withdrawal, cancellation and refunds must therefore be pursued there and not with the provider of the app — the provider can neither accept nor refund a payment.
Statutory right of withdrawal
For contracts concluded at a distance, consumers generally have a right of withdrawal of 14 days without giving reasons (§ 11 of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act, FAGG). For contracts covering digital content and digital services the period begins on the day the contract is concluded.
Since the contract is concluded with the respective platform operator, exercising this right follows that operator’s procedure. Both operators provide their own routes, which are faster than any declaration made to the provider.
Early expiry
For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires early where performance has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose that right, before the withdrawal period has elapsed (§ 18(1)(11) FAGG).
In practice this means: once a subscription is unlocked and the additional batteries are usable, the statutory right of withdrawal may already have expired. Independently of this, the platform operators frequently grant refunds voluntarily.
Requesting a refund
- Apple App Store
- Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple ID, select the purchase concerned and request a refund. Alternatively via the receipt sent to you by email.
- Google Play
- In the Play Store app or at play.google.com, open "Order history", select the purchase and choose "Report a problem". Purchases within the first 48 hours have their own, faster route.
The decision on a refund is taken by the respective platform operator. The provider of the app has no influence over it and receives only a settlement notice.
Cancelling a subscription
The subscription renews automatically until it is cancelled. Cancellation must take place at the latest 24 hours before the end of the current period; it is carried out in the settings of the App Store or Google Play. Billing is handled through the account held there.
Inside the app, the purchase screen leads directly to the relevant operating system setting via "Manage subscription". Cancelling ends the renewal; the period already paid for remains fully usable.
Statutory warranty
Statutory warranty rights are unaffected by the above provisions. They are to be asserted against the contracting party, that is, the respective platform operator.
If something in the app does not work as described, a message to the provider is nonetheless the fastest route to a solution: in most cases the fault can be fixed and withdrawal becomes unnecessary.
